Astrea
Astrea — a refillable bottle that filters as you pour
Clean water from any faucet — in a bottle you actually want to carry.
A startup venture: the idea was a refillable bottle with a replaceable filter that tracks its own life, wrapped in a calm family of materials and colourways — carried all the way from mechanism to brand, modelled in Rhino and KeyShot.

Discovery & ideation
All projects are always team work. In the team I drive the vision, project-manage, build the prototypes, make the presentations and C-suite pitches, and build energy towards and during the execution.
Astrea is a startup led by Greg Lafata, a former Philips colleague, who brought me in to form the vision and execution of the bottle.
The top surfacing — with its complicated hinge and lid sealing — was defined and fine-tuned for tooling by Indigraf, Valencia, and the legendary Rafa Corell, who made it all work, exactly as we needed. Rafa has shaped and prepared a large part of the Philips appliance range for tooling.
