"This was made in 2022, when AI was just taking off. The couch scene? I went to a Crate & Barrel and scanned a few couches and office spaces, then imported those into Blender. The printer was built in Rhino and brought across too. The photos came from an AI project we ran at HP — an engineer had created them with an early AI-image engine, for his love of Bowie.
The scene is all Blender lighting, and that couch scan gave it the warmth and the textures I love. I usually let some sunlight stream in through a building to light up these scenes. Human + AI is the way.
This is one of my favourite concepts I made for HP — I think it could have been such a nice little item in people's homes. Working with Ken Musgrave was a highlight of my career."

This is a concept vision for the home of the near future, made with the HP design team: you imagine something, generative AI brings it to life, and seconds later you're holding it — a photo, a poster, a memory made tangible.
Soft materials, a calm glow, and a form that belongs beside the sofa rather than the desk. Technology that feels like furniture.

In a world of endless screens, this printer makes the digital tangible again — turning a prompt into something you can frame, gift, or pin to the wall. The gooseneck light isn't decoration; it's a 3D scanner — part of the HP Scan suite that embeds 3D into the workflow at home and in the office. It invites you to sit, sketch, and create where you actually live.
The team
All projects are always team work. In the team I drive the vision, project-manage, build the prototypes, make the presentations and C-suite pitches, and build energy towards and during the execution.
This project was designed in a team dynamic with Business, Engineering and Design team under the leadership of Ken Musgrave, across the HP design teams in Vancouver, Singapore and Boise.
